John's Overhaul is the third episode in the first season of Rail Adventures.
Plot[]
It was not long after James' discovery happened.The Fat Controller put John on an overhaul to get back on track,and help the other engines with the summer workload.
One day,it started.First,the workmen scraped off the rust on his boiler.It was a bit painful,though.
"Ow,ow,ow!" was all he would say.
Other engines tried calming him down,but it was no use.Finally,the procedure was over.John was obviously relieved.
Next,he got new parts.
"I'm getting better,everyone!" he said.
"Good," said a workman.
The rest carried on,though,for they knew better than to talk.
The next morning,John awoke to find Edward backing into the works.
"Morning,John" he said.
"Why are you here,Edward?" John replied.
"Just a new coat of paint,thank you" he replied.
The two had a long chat,and soon became friends.
"He is really kind" John thought.
What about the old shed? Well,it got turned into Vicarstown Washdowns.Henry first used it.
Apparently,a milk churn was on his line at Vicarstown Station.Henry was pulling the Wild Nor Wester,and strangely,he was early when he reached Barrow-In-Furness Station.
He applied his brakes,but it was too late.
(bang)
"Bother,now I can't move!"
Soon,the mess was cleaned and Henry was tired when he reached Barrow-in-Furness.
"Phew" said his driver
"Don't want this to happen,do we?" replied the fireman.
Henry could only agree,in silence.
John will be undergoing a boiler test soon,but that's another story.
